When you visit the dentist or hygienist you are in very close contact to allow for check-ups and treatment. At a time when social distancing is essential to minimise the spread of this virus we should be avoiding any non-essential contact and especially very close contact so routine dental visits must be put on-hold right now. Additionally many dental treatments require the use of tools like drills, ultrasonic scalers and polishes. These tools create an aerosol or spray which can put everyone at greater risk of being exposed to the virus. For these reasons UK Dentistry is currently on hold by order of the Chief Dental Officer and this means we cannot offer any face to face appointments for the time being. We are still at the end of the phone to provide advice and support in the event of any urgent dental problems and we will have the facility to refer you to a dedicated urgent care hub if you urgently need treatment. Hi from Hamish! Hi everyone, just quick update from Hamish, he enjoying being out in the sun at home 🏠. Just to answer some of the most common questions we are getting from our patients during these uncertain times and reassure you that even know we can’t see you in person we’re still here for you if you need us 😊 Hamish will be doing a live Q&A over on our Facebook page tomorrow at 4pm so join us and send him all your dental related questions 🦷 |
