Hi everyone! So we are getting a lot of questions from patients that are worried about their oral health declining whilst they are isolating at home. Our amazing hygiene team have started to put together a series of videos to provide some hints and tips to keep your mouth as healthy as possible at home.
A big thank you to Georgia for contributing to the first video of this series, here she explains the best toothbrushing technique for you to follow, we hope you find it helpful. 😊🦷👄🌟✨ I
f anyone is worried about running low on oral hygiene products, fear not we have you covered! Just drop us a message or an email and we can arrange to have your normal products delivered to your door so you don't have to make another trip to the shops😊 Stay home, stay safe and get in touch if we can help with anything.
When you visit the dentist or hygienist you are in very close contact to allow for check-ups and treatment. At a time when social distancing is essential to minimise the spread of this virus we should be avoiding any non-essential contact and especially very close contact so routine dental visits must be put on-hold right now.
Additionally many dental treatments require the use of tools like drills, ultrasonic scalers and polishes. These tools create an aerosol or spray which can put everyone at greater risk of being exposed to the virus.
For these reasons UK Dentistry is currently on hold by order of the Chief Dental Officer and this means we cannot offer any face to face appointments for the time being. We are still at the end of the phone to provide advice and support in the event of any urgent dental problems and we will have the facility to refer you to a dedicated urgent care hub if you urgently need treatment.
